In this video, I guide you through the process of setting up a chatbot for your website. I explain how to customize the bot with your business name, adjust response time, and manage message limits.
I also discuss the options of setting the bot on autopilot or suggestive mode. Finally, I demonstrate how to train the bot with FAQs and website information to enhance its performance. Take notes as we go along for a smooth setup process.
The menus have moved since this video was recorded, so follow the steps below for the current layout.
Where to find it
Click AI Agents in the left menu. The tabs across the top are Getting Started, Agent Studio, Voice AI, Conversation AI, Knowledge Base, Agent Templates, Content AI and Agent Logs. Your website chatbot lives under Conversation AI.

Train it first
Open the Knowledge Base tab and add what the bot should know: your services and pricing, office hours, document checklists, FAQs and your website pages. Click Create knowledge base, or Create with AI to build one from your site.

Create the agent
Go to Conversation AI and click Create Agent. Choose Prompt Based Agent to give it plain-language instructions for lead capture, booking and Q&A, or Flow Based Builder for step-by-step qualification with branching. Name the bot after your business, connect your knowledge base, and add your booking calendar so it can schedule consultations. You can also start from the Agent Templates tab.

Pick a mode and go live
Start in Suggestive mode so you can review the bot's replies before they send, then switch to Auto-Pilot once you trust its answers. Choose the channels it covers, such as your website chat widget, SMS, Facebook and Instagram, then turn it on. Check Agent Logs to see what it said and keep adding to the knowledge base.
